Experience:
• 15-20 years in a ship yard, dry docks as a ship repair engineer manager, or as a ship repair engineer/manager with a repair company.
• Expertise in operation, trouble shooting and repair of two and four stroke diesel engines-(Man B&W),New Sulzer Diesel, Mitsubishi, Pielstick etc.)
Job Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility of overseeing the ship repair activities, with a focus on repairs of engines and other ship-board equipment.
• Coordinate and control:
1. New works, modifications or repair services on ships, offshore structures, site installations.
2. Inspections, tests and surveys
3. Service plans, sequence and methods
4.Work Standards
• Develop and implementation of engineering details like process planning sheets, drawings etc. ,resource planning.
• Coordinating all major activities relating to the testing,pre-commissioning and commissioning of machinery and equipment as required as per contract, and the preparation of test/trial reports.
• To monitor safety regulations are strictly adhered to,to avoid any mishaps or personal injury. |
