The Engineer will be part of a dynamic Core Technology Front End Team, capable to drive the integration of advanced System-On-Chip (SoC) multimedia designs.
This includes performing static timing analysis, power optimization, formal verification, placement optimization and signal-integrity timing check. Candidate is also expected to Interface with VLSI designers in addressing issues related to front-end tools (such as synthesis, simulations, static timing, formal verification, RTL and constraints integrity checks) and to provide guidance to back-end engineering in completing P&R to meet timing target. Candidate will perform evaluation, methodology, implementation and productization related to front-end tools.
Some level of Unix shell level programming should be expected in addressing new flow introduction and proving resolutions to users usage issues. Good communication skill is preferred as candidate is expected to interact with vendors. |

Must recall al least one boundary scan cell type (BSCAN_1, _2, etc) and explain it.Extensive knowledge of Verilog, and some waveform viewing tool. This is necessary for debug of scan patterns. In addition, use of Verilog switches to enable or disable atpg functions in libraries should be understood.Understand the effects of voltage and temperature on CMOS circuit behavior. This is necessary for debug of chips after they return from the FAB.Generally, be able to make reasonable recommendations for corrective action on parts that fail on the tester. |
