Skills Required: The Person · High level interpersonal skills. · Thorough knowledge of supply market, supplier capabilities and expected trends. · Professional knowledge of procurement principals and processes, including high order negotiations. · Adept at developing procurement strategies and contributing to wider business strategies. High level of commercial awareness. · Understanding of legal issues and contractual principles to effectively formulate contracts and Service Level Agreements. · Proficient in the management of multi-functional teams and high level of project management skills. · Multi-functional Approach - Understanding of a wide range of commodities and the associated total cost drivers. · Strong analytical and problem solving skills. · Understanding of risk management and vulnerability assessment. · Proficient in supplier assessment processes that are used to develop supplier improvement plans. · Understands total cost of ownership (TCO) models and uses this effectively during supplier negotiations and for planning cost reduction programmes. · Detailed understanding of e-commerce tools (such as e-Procurement, e-Catalogue and e-Contract Management, e-Auctioning and e-RFX, etc.) to enhance and sustain the Procurement processes. · University degree level education · Numeracy a key requirement · Experience in a Bluechip FMCG environment is essential · Must be bilingual - Arabic and English

Job Description: The Company An FMCG sector giant with a global reach is currently looking for a procurement manager for its operations in the United Arab Emirates. The Role · Deliver significant competitive advantage to the Company through the generation and management of National supply arrangements. · Develop and implement the most cost effective procurement processes to achieve lowest total acquisition cost and balance the requirements of internal customers, Procurement and Audit Services. · Develop and implement Service Level Agreements with contracted suppliers to promote an environment of continuous improvement and innovation. · Ensure full cross-functional commitment to strategies through communication, education and evaluation of initiatives. · Analyze financial and market data, to build and maintain knowledge on all aspects of our external environment, to ensure that Procurement proactively manages the procurement portfolio. · Collaborate with other company entities to support Regional & Global initiatives and ensure the company's costs benchmark favorably. · Assess and recommend new e-Commerce technology and tools. Assist in the development and implementation of these.
