Research, development and the deployment of technology for Shell's global exploration and production businesses is managed by Shell's technology division of Shell International Exploration and Production (SIEP). Two companies, one based in The Netherlands and the other in the United States, work together to provide a wide range of products and services to Shell companies in the sector.

For more than 80 years, Shell's EP business has had central laboratories in each location to ensure that knowledge is gathered and shared among all Shell's Operating Companies. Shell's EP research center, Bellaire Technology Center, is one of the main technology centers for Shell globally, with other EP technology centers in Houston and New Orleans in the U.S. In-house R&D is supported by partnerships with external companies to maintain Shell's leading edge technology for supply to Shell companies as well as the open market.

Shell International Exploration and Production Inc. is currently seeking a Resourcing Coordinator for its Houston, Texas location.


DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities :
In this position, you will be responsible for leading the Resourcing Team (Coordinator, Analyst, Assistant) in Houston. You will report to the Project Expertise and Resourcing Manager. You will be responsible for the preparation of project (integrated and CoE) staffing recommendation for the Location Manager. You will ensure optimal resourcing and project prioritization by working with Regional Portfolio Managers to ensure the Project and Resourcing System is current. You will identify potential gaps in resourcing. You will work closely with the Regional Portfolio Managers and their Business Opportunity Manager in the Region for identifying work, scoping, carrying out work and delivering work to Regions in a time and cost effective manner. You will work with the Discipline Leads to ensure the development of staff as a key consideration when Project Resourcing is being planned. You will provide cohesion across Regional Portfolios for staff allocation and resourcing requirements, and work closely with Centers of Expertise and the PER Team to utilize specialist resources as appropriate. You will play a key role in assuring that project resources are utilized effectively and redeployed when projects are completed. You will be responsible for annual staff performance appraisals (GPA) of Resourcing Staff. You will sponsor and drive progressions for these staff. You will be responsible for ensuring staff are properly developed. You will work closely with Discipline Leads to ensure discipline specific development opportunities and training are accomplished.

Key Accountabilities:
  • All aspects of project resourcing for the Project teams
  • Member of the EPT-S extended Leadership team
  • Providing Portfolio Managers with strategic business advice, particularly with respect to level and type of technical effort and expertise required to meet Project Requirements
  • Being responsible for the MOR process in Houston
  • Being jointly responsible with HRiB for the Recruitment Program (experienced and graduate)
  • Obtaining suitable Contractors for short term project needs or for specialist requirements
  • Ensuring alignment in key work processes and targets for delivery of the Location Business Plan
  • Being responsible for the EPT-S Houston training budget
  • Continued development of the Project Resourcing System
  • Presenting standard Project Resourcing reports to the Houston LT on a monthly basis
  • Providing weekly updates of Project Resourcing requirements and decisions, after engagement with the HLT


REQUIRED SKILLS:
Requirements :
To be considered for this position, you must possess a Bachelor's Degree or higher and have approximately 10 or more years of relevant professional experience.
