Shell companies have been exploring for and producing hydrocarbons for over a century. Today, Exploration & Production (EP) employs some 17,500 people and a further 10,000 contractors worldwide and has interests in ventures in around 40 countries.

This is a technically challenging work environment characterised by a continuing need for research, the pursuit of new technology, and the adoption of new ways of working. It demands people who will thrive in a culture that encourages and rewards innovation, collaboration and the ability to learn from success as well as failure.

Abu Dhabi has some of the world's largest oil and gas fields, and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) operates in all areas of the industry. In less than three decades, the company has broadened its activities through different subsidiaries in exploration and production, support services, oil refining and gas processing, chemicals and petrochemicals, maritime transportation and refined products and distribution. Shell is a shareholder in two joint ventures - the Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (ADCO) and GASCO, a mid-stream gas processing company. planning and reserves work
. Supporting the formulation of Shell's evaluation and recommendations to
ADCO in review of the operator's field development plans

COMPANY DESCRIPTION:
The Shell Group has pioneered the gas industry for more than 30 years and we're now one of the largest equity producers of natural gas. Our Gas & Power business already stretches across 35 countries and, as the world searches for greener forms of energy, we expect demand for natural gas the cleanest hydrocarbon to double over the next two decades. Through the Pearl GTL (Gas-To-Liquids) project, Qatar Petroleum and Qatar Shell GTL Limited have joined forces to construct a world-scale GTL plant at Ras Laffan Industrial City, Qatar. This project will enable the country to use its vast gas reserves in an economically robust and environmentally positive way. The Pearl GTL project is a fully integrated project that encompasses a range of activities, from the reservoir to the marketing of new products. Gas from Qatar's North Field will be piped to the onshore gas processing plants at the rate of 1.6 billion cubic feet per day before being converted into GTL products. The project will produce 140,000 barrels per day of GTL products, as well as significant quantities of associated condensate and liquefied petroleum gas. During the construction of the Pearl GTL Project, we expect over 200 million man hours to be worked, and considering standard industry HSE performance, the number of unsafe acts, near-misses and incidents to be managed is likely to be considerable. The dimensions of this challenge are exacerbated by the number of international locations and time zones that are involved, and the number of languages spoken. We're currently looking to recruit an Incident Data QC Analyst to join our team in Doha.

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities :
As Incident Data QC Analyst, you'll ensure effective and efficient functioning of the Fountain Impact database for the Pearl GTL Project, verify the quality and accuracy of input from incident investigations into Fountain, promote the timely close-out of remedial actions, and ensure an auditable close-out trail is maintained. You'll liaise with multiple international locations and contractors to ensure an effective fit-for-purpose' management tool is in place that will help prevent recurrence of incidents. You'll also: · Report incident data, actions and their follow-up to all levels and parts of the organisation · Train and coach users in the correct use of Fountain Impact · Act as the Pearl Project Fountain Impact Helpdesk · Liaise with the Global Helpdesk and other gatekeepers in the USA, the Netherlands and other countries · Participate in incident investigations · Facilitate the Monthly Incident (QC) Review process · Facilitate internal and external sharing of lessons learned.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Requirements :
With at least four years' HSE experience including incident investigations, ideally in the oil and gas industry or on a large construction project, you must be able to work on networked database computer systems and have the skill to analyse the functioning of a global data management system. You'll have knowledge of TapRoot, TopSet, Tripod, Inpact or other incident investigation techniques, and possess a clear analytical mind with a strong concept of logic and process. You must have the ability to communicate easily with people from multiple international locations and be sensitive to cultural and social differences. Able to work in office locations as well as on construction sites, your initial base will be in Doha but, you must be prepared to make a permanent move to Ras Laffan.
